You can buy tickets at the door on the day, but public shows do sell out, especially on weekend afternoons in summer. We recommend booking online at least a day ahead for Saturday and Sunday shows. Weekday and Wednesday evening shows usually have space.
If the sky is completely overcast we bring the telescope session inside and run an extended dome show instead, covering the same objects we would have looked at outside. You do not need to check the forecast before you come; we adapt on the night and let ticket holders know by email by 19:00.
There is a free car park directly behind the building with 40 spaces. The nearest bus stop is a three-minute walk away on the main road. We are not on a train line, so if you are coming by rail the nearest station is about a 15-minute taxi ride.
